The Ultreia choir was created in 1985 in order to restore the practice of Gregorian chant in the life of the Monastery of San Juan de Poio, Pontevedra.
This work "Ave Maris Stella" contains a "Gregorian" repertoire, spanning 17 centuries (from the 3rd to the 20th century) of compositions dedicated to the Mother of God.
The recording, which was made in 1993 in the Monasteries of Armenteira and San Paio de Antealtares in Santiago de Compostela,
