Nas Cordas was published in 2001, this is his second solo album. An album of 20 songs that is a tribute to the sounds of the strings with nods to Florencio (O Cego dos Vilares, an ever-present reference claimed by Pancho) and also to Faustino Santalices with a beautiful version of an Alalá. It should be noted that most of the compositions are Pancho Álvarez's own, who on this occasion has collaborations with Xurxo Nuñez, Álvaro Iglesias, Miguel Seoane, Cástor and Félix among others.
