RESONET CHACONA A CANCIÓN DE SANTIAGO
Song of Pilgrims
RESONET CHACONA TO SONG OF SANTIAGO
Edited in the year 2023. A little song copied in 1456 by the English pilgrim William Wey, and which was sung and danced in the cathedral of Santiago by some children, confirms that the chaconne comes from Santiago de Compostela. And that song, "Sante Jaco a Compostel", is the first Chaconne written.
This was the starting point for the project to record the CD "Chacona, the song of Santiago, once again performed in its maximum splendor by Resonet, with Mercedes Hernández as Soprano and Fernando Reyes on Theorbo and baroque guitar. A luxurious presentation containing a 123-page booklet in Galician, Spanish, English, Francais and Deutsch.
